Oldham Athletic 0-1 Huddersfield Town

In true "Let Me Entetrtain You" style, it was Towns Robbie Williams with a sublime free kick that proved the difference between the sides at a wet and windy Boundary Park.

 

Town coped bets with the conditions throughout, and were almost in front in the 38th minute, Jordan Rhodes header hitting the bar from Anthony Pilkingtons superb delivery.

 

Despite Oldham having an ex Town strike force of Pawel Abbott and Kiegan Parker at their disposal, it was the visitors who controlled play for long periods of time.

 

The winning goal came on the hour mark. A free kick 25 yards out was easy pickiings for Robbie Williams, and he despatched it with ease around the wall to the jubilation of 3,909 Town fans (making up over 45% of the total gate) who attended. Amusement was soon to follow as first Andy Holdsworth and then Pawel Abbott fround thier ways into the referees notebook.
