Huddersfield Town 4-0 Leyton Orient

Posted by jackosgal at 03:50 PM on October 26, 2009

More one-way Galpharm traffic, as Leyton Orient, pretty much like Exeter 2 weeks ago, offered very little and were easy pray for Town.

To be honest, I have seen Town play a lot better than this, however they did not need to be at their best.

Gary Roberts (Man of the Match by a mile) opened the scoring right on half time, and unstoppable drive from the edge of the box.

Town were denied a clear penalty, as an Orient defender most definitely (I saw it) palmed the ball round the post.  The referee only gave a corner, and the linesman did nothing!  Justic was done though, as Nathan Clarke rose highest from the corner to double the lead.

The pick of Towns goals came from Michael Collins.  Despite an in-and-out game, he was in the right place to execute a perfect diving header from Gary Roberts cross.

The fourth goal came in the 90th minutes, when Jordan Rhodes nodded home from Lionel Ainsworths cross.

Lee Clark was more than pleased with what he saw.
